TechTrends 2004 is the Nation's premier research and development conference hosted by one of the four states comprising the SMART (Strengthening the Mid-Atlantic Region for Tomorrow) region (including PA, DE, NJ, and MD) on an annual rotating basis. Its purpose is to showcase the technology our region has to offer and provide a forum for creating partnerships within the Mid-Atlantic region. Businesses, contractors, researchers, and academia promote their work to federal agencies, government laboratories, Members of Congress, and each other.

In addition, this year's conference will include a job fair on August 5th & 6th to give the promising and talented engineering and computer science students from our many undergraduate and graduate programs an opportunity to remain in the region.
